Attitude of Thankfulness

Thankfulness is the acknowledgment of the goodness in our lives. It's when we are conscious of a benefit received.

An Attitude of Thankfulness is something we can practice every day. However, sometimes we allow things like our circumstances, comparing ourselves and what we have to others, and focusing on the wrong things, distract us from seeing the goodness all around us.

Let us remember, “God is in control, and therefore in EVERYTHING I can give thanks - not because of the situation but because of the One who directs and rules over it.” – Kay Arthur

Below are six scriptures from the bible to remind and inspire your Attitude of Thankfulness today and every day.

6 versus to remember about having an Attitude of Thankfulness:

This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. - Colossians 3:15

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. - 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father. - Ephesians 5:20

O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting. - 1 Chronicles 16:34

Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise.
Give thanks to Him, bless His name. - Psalm 100:4

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. - Philippians 4:6

We should have an Attitude of Thankfulness every day for what God has done for us.

Now that you have read these scriptures, write down at least two things you are thankful for today and share with at least two people.

Praying that God’s grace, mercy, and love fill your heart this holiday season.
